With an empty diary in front of us, James and I have come up with some ideas to help our clients continue communicating with good quality video in the coming months.

We can continue making films by recording interviews via Skype and using a combination of stock footage, text and infographics to help illustrate the films.

Next week we’ll produce a video and guide to help interviewees improve the quality of these interviews with a few inexpensive accessories that the can dramatically improve the quality of video conferencing type recordings including:

Tips on lighting for clear professional looking results.

Tips on getting better sound quality by using an inexpensive tie microphone and choosing the right environment.

Tips on positioning a laptop and yourself in the frame.

For clients that commission films from us we can send equipment in the post in advance of interviews and advise on specific set ups for the best results.

We can also advise on how to help your bank of Covid-19 experts make the best of the equipment they have for live and recorded broadcast media contributions with bespoke accessory recommendations for their own laptops/desktops/phones.

James and I are hoping that with this approach and the huge archive of stock footage from our major clients we can help produce good quality communications at a time when digital comms is more important than ever.

Do call me if you would like to know more or would like to talk about what we can help you with.

Stay safe and well.

Best wishes,

David
